Directions
From I-95 South and Route 202 (Western Avenue) – From I-95 South take the Augusta-Winthrop exit and take your first right onto Western Avenue. When you come into Augusta, you will see several car dealerships and fast food restaurants. Stay in the left lane and continue through several traffic lights until you see Burger King on the right and the Augusta State Armory on your left. At that intersection get in the far left lane and turn left toward the Augusta State Airport. Follow that road past the terminal building (a hard right) and down the hill. As you reach the bottom of the hill, you will see a traffic light ahead. Turn left onto State Street at the traffic light. Continue on State Street and turn right onto Church Street just before the next traffic light. South Parish Congregational Church will be on your left after you turn onto Church Street. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From I-95 North and Route 27 North (Belgrade Road) – From I-95 North take the Belgrade exit. You will immediately come to a fork. Bear to the left. That will bring you immediately to a traffic light. Turn left onto Civic Center Drive (Rt 27 North). Continue past the Mall of Augusta and through several traffic lights. After traveling about three miles, you will see a Cumberland Farms store on the left at an intersection with a blinking yellow light. Continue straight, up the hill to another intersection with a traffic light. Go straight through that light. Frank Pomerleau's store is on the right. Take the very next left onto Church Street. South Parish Congregational Church is on the left. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From Route 104 (West River Road) – Follow Route 104 into Augusta. You will pass the Calumet Club on your right. About a half mile beyond the Calumet Club you will turn right onto Townsend Road. If you pass Sunset Market, you have gone too far. Follow Townsend Road until you come to an intersection with a traffic light. Stay in the left lane. You will turn left onto Civic Center Drive. Follow Civic Center Drive for about two miles. You will see a Cumberland Farms store on the left at an intersection with a blinking yellow light. Continue straight, up the hill to another intersection with a traffic light. Go straight through that light. Frank Pomerleau's store is on the right. Take the very next left onto Church Street. From Route 3 (North Belfast Avenue) – When you come into Augusta, you will come to an intersection with a traffic light. There is a fire station across the street. Turn left at that intersection. Stay in the right lane because you will make a right turn ahead. You will come to a traffic circle. Turn right at the traffic circle. That will bring you down a hill. Go straight at the traffic light. You will cross a bridge to a traffic light. Stay in the left lane. Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the bridge and go up a hill. At the top of the hill is an intersection with a traffic light. Frank Pomerleau's store will be in front of you. Stay in the left lane and turn left. Take the next left onto Church Street. South Parish Congregational Church is on the left. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From Route 17 (Eastern Avenue) – When you come into Augusta, you will see Farrington School on your right. Continue straight until you come to an intersection with a traffic light and Gardiner Savings Bank on the left. Stay in the right lane and turn right. Get into the left lane. Very soon you will come to a traffic circle. Go about half way around the traffic circle, taking the third exit. Go down the hill, staying in the left lane. Continue across the bridge, staying in the left lane. Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the bridge and go up the hill. At the top of the hill is an intersection with a traffic light. Frank Pomerleau's store will be in front of you. Stay in the left lane and turn left. Take the next left onto Church Street. South Parish Congregational Church is on the left. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From Route 201 North (Riverside Drive) – When you come into Augusta, you will see O'Connor GMC on the left. Continue a short distance until you come to an intersection with a traffic light. There is a fire station and a Dairy Queen on the right. Continue straight at that intersection. Stay in the right lane because you will make a right turn ahead. You will come to a traffic circle. Turn right at the traffic circle. That will bring you down a hill. Go straight at the traffic light and cross a bridge to another traffic light, staying in the left lane. Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the bridge and go up a hill. At the top of the hill is an intersection with a traffic light. Frank Pomerleau's store will be in front of you. Stay in the left lane and turn left. Take the next left onto Church Street. South Parish Congregational Church is on the left. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From Route 201 South (State Street) – As you come into Augusta, you will see Dairy Queen on the right. Stay in the right lane. Continue straight, past the capitol building. You will come to a traffic circle. Stay in the right lane and take the second exit off the circle. You will immediately come to a fork. Take a left, following the signs for Route 27 to Belgrade. Again, you will immediately come to a fork. Turn right. You will shortly come to an intersection with a traffic light. Gardiner Savings Bank is on the left. Continue straight at the light. Continue on State Street and turn right onto Church Street just before the next traffic light. South Parish Congregational Church will be on your left after you turn onto Church Street. The funeral home and parking lot is straight ahead at the end of that street.
From Route 105 (South Belfast Avenue) – Follow Route 105 into Augusta. You will pass Cony High School on the left. Almost immediately you will come to a traffic circle. Stay in the right lane. Take the second exit off the traffic circle. That will bring you down a hill. Go straight at the traffic light and cross a bridge to another traffic light, staying in the left lane. Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the bridge and go up a hill. At the top of the hill is an intersection with a traffic light. Frank Pomerleau's store will be in front of you. Stay in the left lane and turn left. Take the next left onto Church Street. South Parish Congregational Church is on the left. From Route 9 South (Hospital Street) – As you follow Route 9 into Augusta, you will see the Augusta Mental Health Institute on the left and the Maine Arboretum on the right. Continue straight until you come to an intersection with a traffic light. Stay in the left lane. You will soon approach a traffic circle. Take the third exit off the circle. That will bring you down a hill. Go straight at the traffic light and cross a bridge to another traffic light, staying in the left lane. Go straight at the traffic light at the end of the bridge and go up a hill. At the top of the hill is an intersection with a traffic light. Frank Pomerleau's store will be in front of you.
