Jump for June Pointer

At the height of their fame in the 1970s and '80s, the Pointer Sisters electrified the world with their perky, catchy songs. Years later, we still love listening to them. So today, in honor of June Pointer, we're sharing a few of our favorites.

1973: The Pointer Sisters score their first hit single with "Yes We Can Can."

1977: The producers of Sesame Street ask the Pointer Sisters to record a song that will become a children's TV classic. Yes, that's them singing the Pinball Number Count.

1983: The album Break Out is a massive success, with several hit singles. June sings lead on "Jump (For My Love)."
