BUXTON - Michael Eric Mullen, 54, died on March 25, 2014, in Kittery. He was born on May 25, 1959, the son of Chester L. Mullen and Barbara A. (Mullen) Levine.
A hard worker with a strong work ethic, Michael spent most of his life as a trucker, working for several trucking agencies over the years and at times self-employed with his own rig. Michael loved meeting people, making friends all across the US; maintaining contact with friends and family daily through Facebook.
Michael was a proud member of the Masons Presumpscot Lodge #70 in Windham. He was also a charter member and past president of Star Touring and Riding, Chapter 150, Portland, ME. A loving and giving man, he often volunteered his time contributing to organizations that meant a lot to him; participating in special drives, truck shows and motorcycle rides to support various children's organizations, fire/rescue, and breast cancer research. He enjoyed hunting and had an extensive gun collection. Devoted to his family, he kept a protective and watchful eye on his nieces.
Michael will be remembered for many things, not the least of which were his rib-cracking bear hugs and sense of humor.
Michael is survived by his wife and best friend Christie Mullen; daughters, Megan and Brooke; sister, Suzanne Mullen Adde and husband Brian Legard; brother Gary Chessa and wife Cheryl; step sister, Kathy Sanborn and husband Rick; step-brothers, David Levine and wife Marie, and Chip Levine and his girlfriend Kathy. His Aunt and Uncle, Constance and John Hay; cousins Stephen and Eric Hay; nieces, Sierra, Christy, Mary, Melissa, Tami, Deanne, Jeni, Cali, Ashley, Chrissy, Jen, and Sam; nephews, Kevin, Jason, Patrick, Caleb, Samuel, and Scott; and former sister-in-law Patti Levine.
