WORCESTER, Mass. -- 36 years young, passed away on, April 6, 2013, at a Boston hospital surrounded by her loving husband and each of her siblings.
The daughter of Rodney and Lynda (Brown) Bailey of Scarborough. Lyndee grew up in Scarborough with her seven siblings and graduated from Scarborough High School in 1995. She was an athlete and a Rainbow Girl, she was artistic, charismatic and was well known within the community.
Lyndee attended Becker College in Worcester, Mass. and graduated in 1999. At Becker, she played soccer and softball, made countless friends and lifted spirits of everyone around her. Lyndee was known by her friends and teammates as 'Bailes' and she took pride in that.
In 2004, she met the love of her life Marc Groccia and they were married in June 2009.
Lyndee was employed by Fallon Community Health in Worcester and she would strive to make everyday a good day for her colleagues.
Lyndee was full of life, had a heart of gold and was known for her hilarious one liners and tell-it-like-it-is attitude; 'You're Welcome.' She lived to 'pay it forward' and was grateful for her blessings. Lyndee volunteered with The Hope Lodge and found a love for educating under-privileged inner city children. She also gave back selflessly and encouraged others to do the same. She adored her Worcester
and appreciated everything they did for the community.
She loved her family and she loved her hometown, especially the beach and pier fries soaked in vinegar. Lyndee had a love for music and related lyrics to her everyday life. She will be remembered for her protective nature, her nurturing spirit and her enthusiasm for making other people laugh.
Lyndee is predeceased by her parents, Rodney and Lynda Bailey. She is survived by her husband Marc Groccia and her beloved dog, Anastacia, of Worcester, Mass.; her stepmother, Donna Bailey; as well as her siblings, Michelle Bailey, Kimberly Adams and her husband Doug, Rodney Bailey Jr., Trevor Bailey and his fiance Megan Merola, all of Scarborough, Jaymee Legassey and her husband Shawn, Kaleigh Anderson and her husband Matthew all of Portland, Ashleigh Schopen and her husband Dustin of Philadelphia, Penn.
