Daniels Howard, 59
STANDISH -- Jane Libby Daniels Howard, 59, of Standish, went home to heaven on Dec. 6, 2013 after a courageous and valiant battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Westbrook on Jan. 31, 1954 the daughter of the Glenn S. Libby of Windham and the late Gladys M. (Hayes) Libby.
Jane grew up in Windham and graduated from Windham High School in 1972. She spent many years working in the healthcare field. Most recently she was employed by the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
On Oct. 23, 2004 she married Frank J. Howard. Together they made their home in Standish, known as Paradise. They enjoyed 10 of the happiest years there. Each year they hosted 'Swamp Fest' at their home. This year, 'Swamp Fest 2013' held its fifth anniversary. It was a musical gathering of friends and family with over 350 people in attendance, 75 musicians and lasted 12 hours long.
She shared 9 nine years of marriage with Frank J. Howard of Standish.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by a daughter, Tracey Daniels of Norway, Maine; two grandchildren, Rachel and Isaac Chase both of Norway; a brother, Stephen Libby and his wife, Linda of Windham, a sister-in-law, Linda P. Libby of Stow, Maine; and several nieces and nephews including, Allen, Adam, Karen and Keith. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Libby.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
