Henry Bucci, 71
WELLS -- Henry Bucci, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Wells on the morning of Friday, March 21, 2014. Henry was husband to Diane (Capuzziello) Bucci and father to son John and daughter Sarah.
He was a Traffic Supervisor at Data General for many years until early onset Parkinson's disease prompted retirement. Despite his disability, Henry remained active in the community by attending his children's sporting events, volunteering at the Unitarian Church's soup kitchen and playing Scrabble at the Wells/Ogunquit Senior Center.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in Milford, Mass., the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Pino) Bucci. In 1962 he graduated with an Associate's degree from the Ward School of Business and later served in the Navy as a Storekeeper Second Class during the Vietnam War.
Henry enjoyed tennis, fishing, photography and making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane; his son John of Wells, his daughter Sarah and her husband Todd Abbott; his beloved granddaughter Mary; and Donna Bucci, wife of his late brother Louis.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 6-8 p.m., at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd., Wells. Prayers will be recited on Friday, March 28, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Bibber Memorial Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish at St. Mary's Church, 236 Eldridge Rd., Wells. Burial will follow in Ocean View Cemetery in Wells. Arrangements are in care of Bibber Memorial Chapel. www.bibberfuneral.com.
